WELCOME HOME BABY JUDE!!!

Welcome to the newest member of our family, Jude Robert Price.  He was born on May 8th at 11:51 pm weighing a whopping 8 lbs 11 oz.  This is my sister Rochelle's first baby and we are so happy that he made it here safely.  Not without  a little scare, but he's perfect.  I have to talk about this special day NOT just because he was born on May 8th,  NOT because it is Markus' birthday on May 8th, and NOT because it is my birthday on May 8th.  OK yes because of all those reasons.  What a crazy and hectic day it was.  I was so happy that Rochelle had her first baby in Utah where I could be a part of that day.  It started out with a favorite breakfast for Markus and then off to work.  I had to go to work that day because I couldn't miss out on the chocolate peanut-butter ice cream cake that my co-workers bought me.  Erik took Markus to Toy's R Us for presents and then around noon, the kids and I headed to American Fork to check on Rochelle.
This picture is hilarious because you would never know what was happening just from looking at it.  Rochelle was given an epideral after a couple hours of pain and then it was a cake walk from there.  We watched The Golden Compass and we waited for Rochelle to dialate or do something.  She wasn't progressing very fast but she was very comfortable.  Thank goodness for the couch bed.  This was taken about 10:30 at night.  Libby would soon fall asleep followed by Alta 5 minutes later.  Markus didn't want to miss any of the action so he tried very hard to stay awake all night.
I know that once Rochelle sees this picture she may disown me as her sister.  Or at least she will pay me back with something terrible someday.  But, I couldn't resist a little bit of  her on the fun evening.  Shortly after this photo was taken, Rochelle was informed by her doctor that she would have to have this baby cesarean; just like the rest of the Knight girls.  No surprise to her.  The babies heartrate suddenly dropped so she was rushed into surgery.  After knocking Rochelle totally out to make sure she was comfortable, they had baby Jude out in about 5 minutes.  He is perfect and couldn't be born on a more perfect day!!!  I was kind of glad that I didn't have to spend too much time dwelling on the fact that I was 36 that day.

HI MEL! I just linked to you from Amy's site - I can't believe you're still so close. (In Utah at least. . .) We need to get together!
Sorry about the turning 36 thing, by the way. . . ;)
